Who provides Morsel
The legal seller and provider of Morsel is Zachary Barrette. By using Morsel, you agree to these Terms of Service and contract with Zachary Barrette for the service. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for payment transactions as described below. Contact barrettezach@gmail.com for service questions, complaints or intellectual-property takedown requests. Keep your account details accurate and your credentials confidential.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Morsel is provided as is and as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Nutrition estimates and AI outputs may be incorrect. Verify outputs and seek qualified medical guidance before making health decisions. Nothing here excludes mandatory statutory warranties or consumer rights.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zachary Barrette is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses resulting from use of Morsel. Aggregate liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid for Morsel in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer remedies remain unaffected.
Disputes and legal rights
Please contact barrettezach@gmail.com first so we can attempt to resolve a complaint. These terms do not require arbitration or waive access to courts. You retain any right under applicable law to bring proceedings in a court with jurisdiction, including mandatory consumer venue rights.
Not medical advice
Morsel provides estimates and general guidance for tracking food and body weight. It is not a medical device and does not replace advice from a doctor or dietitian.
Estimates
AI-generated nutrition values are estimates. Please review them before saving; you're responsible for the entries in your log.
Free plan and trial
The free plan is free. The Plus trial lasts 7 days, is available once per account, and ends automatically without charge.
Fair use
Don't misuse the service, commit fraud or spam, infringe intellectual property, submit unlawful material, interfere with security or attempt to access other people's data. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated misuse, material breach, non-payment or fraud and security risks.
Payments and renewal
Plus purchases start paid billing immediately and renew at the selected monthly or annual interval. The no-card trial is separate and never automatically charges. Cancel renewal through account billing; paid access remains until the paid period ends. Monthly/annual change requests do not automatically change the subscription or stop renewal.
Online reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Service and ownership
Using Morsel means you accept these terms. The service's software, documentation and branding remain the property of their rights holders. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Your content and AI
You retain rights to the content you provide and allow us to process it only to provide the service. Submit only content you have the right to use. You are responsible for your inputs and for reviewing AI outputs, which may be inaccurate and are not professional medical advice. Illegal content, harmful impersonation, hate content, malware and attempts to bypass safeguards are prohibited. We may refuse analysis, remove infringing content or suspend repeated infringers.
Refunds
You may request a full refund within 14 days of your order date. Refunds are processed by Paddle; visit paddle.net or contact barrettezach@gmail.com. Paddle's Refund Policy and any broader mandatory consumer rights also apply. A refund does not by itself change your subscription's renewal or access dates; check your billing status and cancel renewal separately when appropriate.
